One Sunday, S-san, M-san, his girlfriend K-san, and I decided to meet up at a curry restaurant that M-san had discovered. During the meal, we caught up on each other's lives, shared stories and laughter, and even discussed our future travel plans. The company was as delightful as the food.
The place was a typical, worn-down counter-style shop, where two ladies were busy in the open kitchen. They had a simple menu featuring three kinds of curry, with the option to choose two or three different types on one plate. Customers had to buy a ticket (shokken, 食券) from a vending machine beforehand using cash.
Our dining experience was unique, as each of us selected different curry options. I chose a mix of Pakistan curry and prawn (ebi, エビ) curry, while others opted for pork kheema curry. To be honest, no one could definitively identify the "Pakistan-ness" of the speciality, especially since pork dishes were served alongside other options. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a feast for the eyes, complete with plenty of fresh vegetables on our plates. You could also request an adjustment to the quantity of rice according to your preference.
It is conveniently located near public transportation, including JR, Nishitetsu, and buses. You can enjoy strolling in the beautiful neighbourhood after the meal.
