ASKSiddhi is run by Yoko Deshmukh, a native Japanese freelance English - Japanese - English translator who lives in Pune since 30th September 2003.
Having worked as an in-house translator & interpreter for an Indian IT company (and then the company was acquired by a major Japanese IT firm in 2006) for more than eight years until February 2012, I have experienced various challenging translation projects from big Japanese companies. They include an English translation of the specification documents containing 100,000 characters for three months, a Japanese translation of the technical documentations containing 1,000,000 words for six months. During those projects, I received continuous direct customer feedbacks via teleconference. Also, collaborating with highly skilled Indian translators and native reviewers, I have accumulated industrial know-how, as well as cultivated the philosophy of “customer-first” approach toward the translation.
Since 2012, I am working as an independent freelance translator. While my primary focus remains as “customer-first,” as such, I am relentlessly working toward high-quality translations. Main fields are Information Technology (IT), Finance, Marketing, Current Affairs (News), Internal Documents, etc. My current customer bases are: 60% is from Japan, 20% is from the US, and remaining 20% is from the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Italy, India, South Korea. Utilizing one of my freelancing advantages, I stay in Pune and Fukuoka alternately by 3:1 ratio in a year.
ASKSiddhi has started since August 2003 to introduce Japanese translated India related information, partially for my translation practice. I am a graduate of Fukuoka High School (Fukuoka prefecture,) drop-out of Oita University (Mathematic Economy.) I like playing the piano, surrounded by animals, reading books, imagining things, and walking; also, I like to explore cheap yet effective cosmetics, as well as branded but value-for-money cosmetics in India, Japan, and duty-free shops in various airports.
