Touchdown in Chiang Mai: Warm Welcomes and Local Flavours

It is for the first time I am enjoying Chiang Mai all by myself.



We have just arrived in Chiang Mai to meet our friends and also to help Siddharth's niece settle down.

After picking us up at the airport, Y-san took us to this lovely coffee shop, Roast8ry Lab:
 




 

In front of the café, there are these charming little villages of shopping streets — perfect for a casual stroll.
 


In the evening, Y-san took us to a local restaurant to savour the authentic flavours of Northern Thailand:
 



 

We also explored the popular One Nimman shopping street — a blend of local art, culture, and boutiques:
 



Near our Airbnb, we spotted a charming little coffee stall — a local tapari with a great vibe.
 


Not far from there, a midnight cafe caught our attention — cozy, stylish, and inviting:
